This motor/locator is an evolution of the C smart I pilot, from which it retains all the characteristics plus new functions;
Polishing mode.
Ultrasonic activation mode.
Orthodontics mode.
Torque wrench mode.
These last three modes require special contra-angles, not supplied with the basic endodontic equipment.
The handpiece is connected to the main unit via Bluetooth (wireless).
The motor easily adapts to each practitioner's habits by integrating several personalised modes (different users).
It incorporates all the latest technologies in endodontic equipment.
The device has three distinct operating modes;
- Apex locator only, with a function to "shift" the apical zone to be located. Numerical display of the working length, plus audible assistance.
- Endodontic motor only.
The device operates in continuous or reciprocating rotation mode.
IN CONTINUOUS ROTATION MODE,
The torque and rotation speed are adjustable. The adjustable torque and speed values are pre-recorded in several distinct programmes according to the brand and model of the file used. These factory pre-recorded values can, however, be modified and saved if desired.
These programmes are called sequentially.
There are also "free" programmes allowing torque and speed to be set independently of the brand and/or model used.
"Reverse" function that allows the contra-angle to operate in reverse mode.
IN RECIPROCATING ROTATION MODE,
The motor manages CLASSIC reciprocating rotation, i.e. for files working in an anti-clockwise direction (30° anti-clockwise and 150° clockwise) BUT ALSO FOR NEW RECIPROCATING FILES WORKING IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION, i.e. alternating rotations of 150° anti-clockwise and 30° clockwise. The advantage of these new files is that they can be used with the same file in continuous rotation or reciprocating rotation.
In reciprocating rotation mode, it is not possible to adjust torque and speed.
- In combined mode; Endodontic motor coupled with the apex locator.
The motor operates at the displayed setting characteristics; the locator locates at the level of the flashing bar.
Safety functions called Auto stop, Auto reverse and Auto reciprocate can be activated when the file tip reaches the stenosis (or a different limit determined by the practitioner) or if the safety torque is reached.
Auto stop; the motor stops.
Auto reverse; the motor reverses its direction of rotation.
Auto reciprocate; the motor switches to alternating rotation mode at equal angles.
The contra-angle head is removable, autoclave-sterilisable, and can be mounted on the handpiece at different angular positions. The contra-angle features a light.
The motor is started at the handpiece.
Features a colour digital screen displaying all information: speed, selected torque, direction of rotation, and visualisation of the file's penetration into the root canal.
The device has stored in memory the operating characteristics (continuous rotation (with torque and speed) or reciprocating) of the most well-known file brands as well as different models. Equipment guaranteed for two years, parts and labour included, in accordance with our T&Cs (see the "Warranty" section), except for the contra-angle and the electric handpiece which are guaranteed for one year. The battery is guaranteed for six months.
