A contra-angle designed for Dental Stripping
Dental stripping, also known as interproximal orthodontics, is a precise dental technique used to adjust the width of teeth. It is primarily used to resolve dental crowding problems, where teeth are too close together. This technique creates space between the teeth by removing a thin layer of interproximal dental enamel.
The dental stripping process involves the use of a rotary instrument, such as a contra-angle, fitted with an abrasive strip or a special file. This abrasive strip is placed between the teeth to be treated, then the instrument is activated to gently remove a small amount of enamel. This procedure is performed with precision to avoid damaging the teeth and to achieve an optimal aesthetic result.
