This motor/locator features all the latest technologies in endodontic equipment.
The device has three distinct operating modes;
Mode 1 ; Apex locator only, with function to "move" the apical zone to be located. Numerical display of the working length, plus audible assistance.
Mode 2 ; Endodontic motor only.
The device operates in continuous or reciprocal rotation mode.
IN CONTINUOUS ROTATION MODE,
The torque and rotation speed are adjustable. The adjustable torque and speed values are pre-recorded in several separate programmes depending on the brand and model of the file used. These factory pre-recorded values can however be modified and saved if desired.
These programmes are called sequentially.
There are also "free" programmes allowing the torque and speed to be set independently of the brand and/or model used.
"Reverse" function that allows the contra-angle to operate in reverse.
IN RECIPROCAL ROTATION MODE,
The motor manages CLASSIC reciprocal rotation, i.e. for files working in an anti-clockwise direction (30° anti-clockwise and 150° clockwise) BUT ALSO FOR THE NEW RECIPROCATING FILES WORKING IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION, i.e. alternating rotations of 150° anti-clockwise and 30° clockwise. The advantage of these new files is that they can be used with the same file in continuous or reciprocal rotation.
In reciprocal rotation mode, it is not possible to adjust torque and speed.
Mode 3 ; This mode combines mode M1 and mode M2. (Endodontic motor coupled to the apex locator.)
The motor operates at the displayed setting characteristics (see M2), the locator locates at the level of the flashing bar (see M1).
The particular feature of this M3 operating mode is that, when the tip of the file reaches the region of the root canal stenosis, it slows down and then automatically reverses its rotation when it reaches the apex or the bar setting position (see M1).
The initial rotation speed will resume when the file moves away from the localisation zone.
The head of the contra-angle is removable, autoclave-sterilisable, and can be mounted on the handle in six different angular positions. The contra-angle has a light.
The motor is started from the handle.
Features a colour digital screen on which all information is displayed: speed, selected torque, direction of rotation, visualisation of the file penetration into the root canal.
The device stores in memory the operating characteristics (continuous rotation (with torque and speed) or reciprocal) of the most well-known file brands as well as various models. You can also save your own operating characteristics for files.
Equipment guaranteed for two years, parts and labour included, in accordance with our T&Cs (see the "Warranty" section), except for the contra-angle, the micro-motor and its cable, as well as the battery, which are covered by a one-year warranty.
